YOUR ESCAPE FROM THE
OVERBEARING, CHEESY DJ
& THE "SAME OL' SONGS"
EXCLUSIVE BRANDING & A DISTINCTIVE PHILOSOPHY, APPROACH
& ATTITUDE TOWARDS DJ ENTERTAINMENT
IMAGINE THIS AT YOUR WEDDING:
A DJ that is NOT there to make themselves the center of attention by doing stuff like being obnoxious on the microphone & overwhelming your guests with needless DJ chatter, or leading your guests in dance lessons on the dance floor.
A DJ that will not make your guests feel uncomfortable by participating in games or being 'forced' to 'get on the dance floor.'
A DJ that actually creates and maintains a relaxed and fun environment so everyone can have a great time doing what they feel like doing.
When it comes to weddings, Simply put: there are no do-overs. Period! So, there's only one chance to get it right! It's part of why I care so much about each wedding and that I treat each one as if it were my own!
THAT is the kind of passion I give each and every one of my couples -- to not only ensure the vision for their day comes to reality -- but that their ONLY 'responsibility' on their wedding day is to celebrate with their family and friends! Unlike most wedding DJ services/companies that view weddings as "just another gig" in a string of events scheduled for that day, I do not.
I am very passionate about what I do. Words like "average" & "standard" are not in my vocabulary when it comes to helping my distinctive couples design their vision for their day so it is as unique as they are. When my couples hire me, they're not hiring me to just show up for a few hours, make some announcements and play music. It's so much more than that!
Unlike most DJ services, I don't believe in offering those cookie-cutter "packages" -- which is essentially different levels of service to choose from.
Whether it's an intimate wedding of only 50 guests or a huge wedding of 350 people,
I proudly offer a higher-quality, ultra-personalized service to ALL of my couples. I offer flat, event pricing.
NO "packages". NO "hourly rate". NO travel charges. Or set-up fees. OR other "nickle-and-diming" that I do not believe in
I am with my couples for the day -- NOT by the hour!
I've created a digital wedding pamphlet and it's mostly there. Including pricing ranges.
WEDDING ENTERTAINMENT INVESTMENT
"CHAIR COVERS NEVER RUINED A WEDDING. BUT BAD DJ'S HAVE!" - me
If you consider the DJ entertainment an important part of your wedding, then you realize that how important the right DJ is. After all, no one blamed the chair covers for a bad (or good) time. Generally, that blame goes to the entertainment. That up-lighting that a DJ “included for free” isn’t going to save the event if the DJ is horrible. Just think of weddings/events you've been to and either had a good time or bad time. That is why entertainment IS a pertinent element to your wedding or event!
I know how frustrating trying to find pricing for most DJ's is. You've probably received a wide array of quotes. Pricing for DJ services -- along with any other type of service -- varies greatly. With this being a service-based business, it's unlike pricing a product that you can try out, feel or drive around. And, although many companies in our industry may have similarly titled options or offerings, if you do some homework, you soon will discover that there is a difference and cost will vary from company to company based on the quality, experience of the DJ and attention to detail.
For example, as a unique boutique DJ & MC, I offer a specialized type of service that includes much more than “just being a DJ” for a wedding. I task myself with numerous responsibilities to ensure each and every wedding is a success, stress-free, relaxed and fun for not only my couples, but their guests. It’s a very small portion that is part of my “Event Direction + Design” component that is included as part of my overall service.
Also, pricing varies because, along with professional & well-experienced DJ's/MC's like me, the industry is also inundated with those who do it as a side hobby and/or those who are new to the industry (the same can be said for photographers and videographers, for example). So, you have to decide if you want someone who does this for a few extra bucks, is relatively new to the business (a few years) or do you want a well-experienced & professional DJ that is actually invested in what they do & keeping up with trends, etc (and are running an actual business). I fall into the latter classification.
Same also goes to comparing a professional sole proprietor like me to one of the many DJ companies/agencies/entertainment groups that simply hand-off events to another DJ. You want to make sure you’re comparing apples to apples.
Also, each and every event is different. No two weddings (or events) are ever the same. Therefore, each event has its' own needs, or might have unique needs. To me, there is no "standard". There is no "typical". I do not offer a "cookie-cutter" service with a "one-price-fits-all' approach like many DJ's do. Your wedding or event is not a "one-size-fits-all'.
